MY HOPE AND DREAMS FOR 2012
World peace? Nope. End hunger? Nope. In 2012 I would like to see more people actually taking God seriously, dreaming dreams of hope, and ?treating others as they would really like to be treated?.
Every year in early December we begin Advent with the anticipation of the coming of the Christ Child. For one hour each Christmas Eve we are inspired, renewed, and filled with hope. And every year I watch for people actually taking Christmas Eve seriously. And it doesn?t happen. Why? When I?m running things, the law will be that every person HAS to take seriously the message of Christmas at least once per calendar year.
Why only once a year? I am enough of a pragmatist (some might say cynic) to know that we couldn?t stand that much change in our lives all at once. But what could happen in our lives, in our Church, if we each tried to take the Christmas message seriously for ONE DAY!
Remember we move toward what we focus on ? when we focus on negative things we move towards being negative ? when we focus on the positive ? we become and are more positive in our lives! These are my hopes and dreams for us all in 2012! God?s Blessings and Peace to YOU!
