YOUTH MINISTRY

Administrative Council

The Administrative Council is the executive agency of the church conference. It provides for the planning and implementing of a program of nurture, outreach, witness, and resources at Shiloh and for the administration of its organization.  The Ad Council membership includes the chairperson and vice chairperson of the Administrative Council; the Pastor;  the Lay Member of the Annual Conference; the Financial Secretary; the Treasurer; the chairperson (or representative) of the Finance Committee; the chairperson (or representative) of the Staff-Parish Relations Committee; the chairperson (or representatie) of the Board of Trustees; the chairperson (or representative) of the Missions Committee; and the chairperson (or representative) of each of the other active committees at Shiloh UMC.  The Financial Secretary and Treasurer who are members of the Administrative Council are not voting members.  Any employed staff may not vote on matters pertaining to their employment.

Finance

The Finance Commitee is responsible for developing and obtaining approval of the annual church budget from the Administrative Council, tracking finances, and looking at long term financial needs and goals of Shiloh UMC.  It also administers the funds received according to instructions from the Administrative Council. The Financial Secretary and Treasurer shall be members without vote.

Staff-Parish Relations Committee

The Staff-Parish Relations Committee [SPRC] identifies the mission and the ministries of the church.  The committee confers with the pastor and staff as they carry out their leadership responsibilities to make an effective ministry, advises on situations as they affect relations between the pastor or staff and the people, and continually interprets to the people the nature and function of the ministry. The SPRC works with the pastor and staff on matters pertaining to their relationship with the congregation and annually evaluates the organization to ensure an  effective ministry.

Trustees

The Board of Trustees or Trustee Committee is in charge of the supervision, use, maintenance,  and care of all real property owned by Shiloh UMC. The Trustees annually review the adequacy of the property, liability, and crime insurance coverage on church-owned property, building, and equipment.
